Yeah, I noticed the relative lack of traffic, too (time of day??) but did notice that most of the streets were lined with parked cars, and that the parking lots were fairly full. And the smog, of course….

Smog was the reason dad said we left LA in ‘66 to head back to PA. He just couldn’t take it anymore. We moved out there in ‘61 when I was just a little baby.
