That’s exactly what mine did. I had some things that I could save, and the next day the water bottles I use to pack coolers with were frozen again. Not going there. We got delivery and takeaway for under a grand. Sears is gone here and the others who used to carry appliances don’t.
Best Buy has a lot of models online but no examples in the store.

We used to have guys who display their ass-crack replace the compressor when a refrigerator failed. It may be worth a grand to not see that.
