Anyway I’m just arguing that what it says in the dictionary about a word for better or worse maters little compared to the public perception/common usage of that word.

If we asked a 100 people to describe an alien for us, how many do you think would talk about Mexican immigrants and how many do you think would talk about Ewoks, Wookies, Ferengi, Vulcans, Romulans, and so on and so forth?

Did you just finish drinking an entire pot of coffee?
