Friends and family have asked me why I’m leaving my career and friends to move out into the middle of fucking nowhere and starting a new life in a green acres kind of way.

I totally get it. My current dream real estate is a nice little bed and breakfast inn that’s for sale right now in Stehekin, in Eastern Washington. It’s a little community of less than 100 people at the north end of Lake Chelan. There are no roads there, the only way in or out is by boat or float plane. If I came into a sudden windfall I wouldn’t even think twice about getting away from it all.
