Platypus truthers are ridiculous, of course, but this is completely to be expected when nearly half the electorate is violently opposed to reality, truth, logic and facts.

Every wingnut is their own god, omniscient and infallible. They view their ignorance as being better than any expert’s knowledge, which is a strain of stupid anti-intellectualism that has deep roots in US history. They are just dialing that nonsense up to 12 in the Trump era.
