So after a week of shying away from the new straight razor my wife bought, with images of a cut throat dancing through my head, I sat down and watched a ton of “so this is your first straight razor” videos on YouTube.

I had at least six weeks of beard growth because I’m lazy, so I watched a couple of understudies for ZZTop taking a razor to their faces.

Went in a bit more positive about it.

Came out looking like the shower scene in “Psycho” but mostly the bleeding has stopped.

I assume I will get better at this.

Straight razors are … interesting… as you’re discovering. I prefer, when I shave, a nice safety razor with good platinum coated blades :D These days I have a beard trimmer instead.
