Right. So if you disagree with #1, which refers to Mr. Sowell as “a wingnut jackass”, then perhaps you have a different definition of “wingnut” than I do, or than celticdragon does. Because to me, someone who uses these following phrases qualifies as one:

…reveal the moral dry rot that has spread deep into Western societies.

…”Alternatives to incarceration” are in vogue among the politically correct elites…

…whole generations have been fed a steady diet of grievances and resentment against society, and especially against others who are more prosperous than they are. ..

…But it may be far more important to learn from their mistakes — the biggest of which may be listening to fashionable nonsense from the smug intelligentsia….

And that’s just from Part 3.

So when you say, “I like Thomas Sowell. I don’t consider him to be a wingnut and find it offensive that he should be called one.”, I wondered what or whom you would consider a wingnut.

Also, now that I look at it again, you didn’t address the “jackass” part at all. Do you concur with that assessment?
