There is a risk that letting sequestration happen could make an upcoming recessionn even worse-and the Grand Bargain rhetoric is heating up.

If Obama really wants to get The Grand Bargain rammed through, he ought to at least nominate Warren as Secretary of the Treasury as a prerequisite. The resulting shitstorm would be breathtaking.
