The rates have been going up at a somewhat lower rate than before Obamacare was enacted, but that appears to be partly due to the recession and the patent expirations on some major drugs - meaning that generic alternatives are being prescribed instead of the name-brand versions at a higher cost.

For instance, take a drug like Arimidex. It’s a cancer medication that used to cost about $1000 per period (1 month supply). There’s now a generic alternative, so the cost for the name-brand is a fraction of that amount, and the generic is $25-75 a month.
