re: #100 HappyWarrior
When I talked to my cousin in Slovenia yesterday, I asked him to be honest with me as a resident of a smaller nation about the perception of the US. He pretty much said that while weβre respected for our technology and being a place where people can succeed, we are seen as pushing our weight a lot and Trump is seen as a joke. He said that Iraq really left a bad impression with many.
If I had a cousin in Slovenia, I might be asking for asylum. (Actually, no, I am going to stand and fight for my home.) I did note a few days ago that when my wife and I were in Poland, a number of people in Gdansk asked why the hell we would return to the USA rather than stay in Poland, as they saw a civil war brewing from their point of view.
