Yeah, there seems to be a disconnect between “Trump and Cohen did nothing illegal, there’s nothing there that amounts to a crime” and “Cohen would never turn on Trump!” If nothing illegal happened, then there’s nothing to turn against Trump. Turning on him implies that Cohen has evidence that Trump committed a crime or evidence that could be used to prove a crime. In either of those two cases, “attorney-client privilege” goes out the window as it cannot be used to cover up evidence of a crime.
