Fun fact: Near the end the climax of my first campaign, as I was poised to strike the killing blow on the boss (which I didn’t know at the time), my DM asked me how much health I had. I told him. He told me later that he was fudging his rolls in a deliberate attempt to kill me.

At the beginning of last year, I started going to a game store that did D&D on the weekends. The group I would play in talked about a DM who specifically thought it was his job to kill all of the PCs.
