Rudy and Newt have too much baggage, imo, to serve as national elected leaders. I think Newt would serve the GOP best as head of the RNC- where he can develop some leadership training, as it’s sorely needed. He’s also written quite a bit concerning energy and science- he accepts AGW. He’s the sort of leader we need behind the scenes getting the GOP back on track.

I like everything that you say. I’m wondering why it is that you think Newt has too much baggage?
