I know what you mean about how it may look, but one time hubby and I went out and I wore my good boots, but they were dirty. I saw a shoeshine stand and got my boots done.

It felt kinda weird, but the guy was really personable and we had a nice chat. My boots looked great too.

I think your reaction is a bit like people who feel odd about massages. It is strange to have someone who you don’t know touching you intimately, but you can get over it. In contrast, my hus will never get a massage—I think it’s just something he can’t get past.
