Contrary to popular belief, no militia unit has ever successfully fought a military campaign against a conventional military force. They might achieve their goals politically to end a conflict, having the military stand down, or gain enough support to enable them to become a conventional military, but the standard issue “I’ll die with my gun in my hand” militia fighter tends to usually just die with his gun in his hand.
