FWIW, I didn’t interpret your comparison as being about one side focusing on science vs. the other focusing on belief, but rather as being about intolerant responses to the other side’s focus, which I totally agree with you on.

I find atheist rebuttals that consist of HURR HURR MAGICAL SKY FAIRY BELIEVERS ARE TEH SUCK!!!! to be unhelpful.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson focuses on scientific facts and evidence. My grandkids love his videos.
