The GOP hates labor’s guts, and we hate theirs. When we had the chance, we got the Ledbetter Act, cutting up a smaller pie. Don’t be surprised if people who watch their kids have a narrower future than their own try to shop their wares a bit.

No offense, but I trace my root to Appalachia, I’ve seen what has happened to manufacturing and mining there through my own relations. But I still think any of them who buy into this idea that the people who’ve been screwing them for years suddenly give a fuck about them are fucked in the head.

I’m a Millenial, I’m in a spot to understand that my generation is not simply getting fucked without lube, but also with a sandpaper condom. And I don’t see these tariffs doing me any good. I’m not in the Rust Belt, I’m not going to get a job at a steel foundry. What I am going to get is further in debt as the higher costs of goods and services that will result from these tariffs eats further into my paycheck that hasn’t budged much due to Wealthcare.

But hey, Trump cares about steel workers. Good for them, I guess.//////
