Yeah, it’s been a pretty crazy ride. I started reading sometime in late ‘05 or early ‘06, though I joined on 9/11/06. Round about then was when LGF seemed to be reaching peak wingnut. Of course, in 2008 Charles made public his break with the right, and then a bunch of the right-wing trolls got banned in short order in the Great Right-Wing Purge. It’s been a different place ever since.

The fissure that really got the wingnuts flouncing around here was Charles’s complete and utter disavowal of creationism. That brought out the crazies like you wouldn’t believe.
