Possible. But they do have to defend 22 seats in the senate… including some states that look a lot more purple/blue than they did 2 years ago. I expect we will see some sort of Gang of 8 type bipartisan stuff to work out deals

That would be my guess. Vulnerable Senate Republicans being put together with conservative Dems to compromise a “bipartisan committee” which will magically come to the conclusion that the only way to deal with the federal deficit and debt is to cut into “entitlements.”
