Tin-foil hat time: Maybe this is how the GOP can get rid of Trump.

“Hey, Donald, yeah…..you need to get out there and start telling your supporters it’s time to cut Social Security and Medicare because it’s costing too much and we’ve gotta trim the fat.”

Trump loses in a landslide and afterwards, Congressional Republicans privately breathe a sigh of relief.

And then choke on that sigh once they realize that the best case scenario if Donny loses is that the Dem who wins does so by such a thin margin that they’ve little to no coattails. Otherwise, they may very well lose the Senate, which may embolden the Senate Dems enough to consider shitting on Mitch’s lawn by finally taking an axe to the filibuster.
