Obviously my dated is dated and I have never priced a 45. I have priced out rifle calibers and light rounds like 22s.

But again it has been awhile.

Prices have gotten insane the last couple of years, especially since Obama was elected. This set off the great ammo hoarding frenzy and the resultant shortages. This has now abated but partly because of increased supply and not reduced demand. Prices haven’t gone down significantly in any case.
