My rates have gone down.

My individual policy used to be a hospitalization and catastrophic plan, plus lab tests and small co-pay for meds, I was out of pocket for office visits… now it also covers an annual check-up and they’ll pay for my mammogram. NY state already had shall-issue rules, so getting younger and healthier people into the pool intersects nicely with the “must spend 85% of premiums on actual care” provision. For me, ACA is a success.
