aside from just being a baby

he hates this job.

he cant do what he wants. he cant get the job to mold so he can do what he wants. he cant get the other people in the administration to do what he wants (he doesn’t get that they only sort of work for him, there’s a public watching and firing them at will creates problems with appearances)

he doesnt get that he doesnt control the press - he probably thought hed be able to
he doesnt get that he doesnt control congress or the courts
hes just learning that favoring his family with jobs was neither insulation nor armor.
it’s fuel

basically he flies around some, grifts some tax dollars into his pockets, and wow, gets 2 scoops of ice cream.
