Ever since I was in college I knew a lot of conservatives who admired what Stalin did, eliminating political opponents, sending dissidents to the gulags, starved to death millions of poor peasant “kulaks,” invade neighboring countries and installing obedient puppet regimes. The only thing they hate about him is that he was a communist. If only he was a capitalist and American, he would have been the perfect Republican in their eyes.
