I don’t know anything about child psychology either, but I’ll admit, if a 3 year-old boy told me he was a girl, I would assume it was a phase, because 3 year-olds don’t know shit about anything. If a 12 year-old boy tells me he’s a girl, then that’s a different story.

My 5 year old grand niece was in class with another child last year who announced they were now a boy and is being treated as one. I share your feelings that this age is too young to make such a decision.
