When you’re afraid to come out, the thought of getting outed can make you suicidal. The fear puts you into complete denial. I felt that way for a long time. I’m about a year older than Graham. I’m not supporting his fealty to Trump, just saying that a lot of older men grew up never feeling that it was safe to come out.

Closeted men are also TONS more likely to seek sex that’s detached from their daily life.

Graham grew up in a different era; he was born in 1955, so even though he would’ve been in his late teens/early twenties during the “let it all hang out” era of the 1970s, even then, homosexuality was a major taboo.
