That’s one of the issues with artificial intelligence. It’s taking a computer - which is good at numerical processing - and trying to make it do something it’s inherently not good at - extrapolation. Human brains are extremely adept at this, but we haven’t really found a way to make computers think like human brains, and our best attempts are, as you note, riddled with inaccuracies.

Given what I see of a lot of human brains, not sure this is a bad thing.
