Those tears look like a studio creation, and Beck is a horrible actor. Everyone I know just rolls their eyes and says omg when he breaks into his “I just love America so much [that I have to cry]” act.

This is why Stewart and Colbert have had difficulty satrizing him. He’s already almost a complete self-parody.

You must have missed Stewart’s spot-on impersonation. Like five minutes, just perfect in facial expression, mannerisms and timing.
