People can talk about secession all they want, but they’re in for a rude awakening once they realize that their house, their 401(k) and their savings are basically worthless without the backing of the US government. And no, gold and silver won’t save their fortune since they’ve only got whatever value we assign to them.

I don’t think they think it through very seriously. Much like those guys 153 years ago did not.
