Delta has been bucking the status quo in the airline industry: they were against extending the EX-IM bank (the other legacy carriers wanted it continued), they didn’t go out on a massive new fleet buying spree, and now this little bit of not wanting the ATC privatization.

If ATC gets privatized and there is a major crash due to controller error or something along those lines, who gets the bill for all the civil suits? (IIRC, the Federal government has some built-in protections regarding that.)
