re: #107 MsJ

When my son was being bullied in middle and high school, the school system was more concerned about the bullies’ (yes plural) privacy than what was being done to my kid. I knew who the bullies were, and when I mentioned their names in school meetings I was shushed. It’s not like the little assholes were being secretive. Some of what was done to him would have landed an adult in a workplace in jail. When I related some of the things done to my kid in those meetings there was actually LAUGHTER from the people supposed to be protecting him.

I wish to fuck I could sue a whole list of people over that shit. Because of that experience my son NEVER wants to set foot in a classroom again. Not even for tech or trade school. He left school thinking he was stupid and spent so much time trying to fend off this shit he learned very little (he had no idea that 32 degrees is the freezing temp of water as just one example) that he should know. But he would not allow me to withdraw him from school, he told me he wasn’t going to let the motherfuckers run him out of there and he said letting them get away with it would just make it harder for the next autistic kid. Sigh. Adults really do not get how bad it can get, it is nothing like the teasing and bullying that was typical 30 or 40 years ago.
