You know it pisses me off that ACB is somehow considered a stronger nominee because she’s a mother.

The whole notion that people that have kids are somehow more inherently important than those who don’t is so fucking stupid.

I don’t have kids (infertility sucks) but I shouldn’t be valued any less than a man who does. I may not have kids of my own but I still have children in my life that are important to me and I can still make meaningful contributions to make a better future for society.

And guess what? The fact that I DON’T have kids is actually an advantage when it comes to some of those contributions because it opens up time and resources I wouldn’t otherwise have so I can step up when people that do have kids can’t.

I have no ill will towards anyone who has kids, I only ask for the same in return for those of us who don’t have them.
