Why did Joe Manchin even bother to run as a Democrat? He’s seriously gonna gum this whole thing up because he’s worried people on unemployment won’t rejoin the labor force fast enough? Does he understand how unemployment benefits work? You get an offer, you take it, or you lose benefits.

Thank goodness he did, or McConnell would be running the Senate, and there would be no relief bill at all.
