There’s a problem; The people using the 99% slogan only have an approval rating in the 30’s.

As WindUpBird pointed out, most Americans do favor many of the causes advocated by Occupy protesters. A lot of people are turned off by the more radical elements and the organization, or lack thereof, of the movement. I agree, to an extent, and feel that if the movement wants to survive and be taken seriously, it has to move beyond camping out in parks. Still, I’m a supporter of OWS, because in this era of Citizens United, CEO bailout bonuses, and record corporate profits during a time of looming austerity measures, maybe we need some dirty fucking hippies ;)
