It hurts my head to think about the logic Mr. Fischer uses. I imagine if heaven forbid pun intended Santorum were elected president or someone like him, Bryan would be claiming that criticism of him is against God’s will and all who criticize him should be smited.

As long as Mr. Fischer leaves the smiting up to God and doesn’t encourage any mortal to do it personally, I’m okay with that.

I’ll take my chances with God.
