One of the things critical race theory does is point out that what Jews have gotten in the way of civil rights they’ve fought and struggled for. The main thesis— though this is a massive oversimplification— is that the white political establishment never willingly cedes power or grants rights to minorities except when it’s in its own vested best interest. I don’t think it’s absolutely correct, but it’s certainly correct more often than I’d like.
