That probably wouldn’t happen for a few centuries, but no one really know a reasonable approximate time frame because there are too many factors involved and unforeseeables that we can only speculate about.

Maybe Waterworld, which takes place in 2500, wasn’t so far off the mark, though. Even if the movie sucked, the concept is actually rather in line with predictions.

Actually, the more I look at that map, the more I find myself marveling at the similarity between it and all those “future maps” from the past century, where you had “psychics” claiming that the maps they were drawing were of the Earth after some major calamity at or around 2012. Yeah, the timing’s a bit off, but the results seem about the same.
