again: the fact that he was tried and convicted is something, especially when compared with how the USA deals with police officers involved in incidents of violence.

He was a soldier, not just another damn cop. I expect better from those in the military because I held myself to that standard. Yes, something is better than nothing but this is still as nauseating to me as the case of Lt. Calley.
