A partisan hack SHOULD NOT be running the FBI, CIA, or any other law enforcement agency. Cornyn would have killed the Russian investigation on minute 1 of day 1 on the job.

Merrick Garland turned down the job when Mitch McConnell offered it to him as well.

a) Judge Garland isn’t stupid enough to tie himself to Trump, particularly since Trump might fire him after eating a bad chicken leg or something. Garland’s appointment is for life unless he is impeached or resigns.
b) Mitch McConnell could have then gotten Trump to appoint a partisan hack to the DC bench.

A couple comments I saw about that were dragging Judge Garland for “looking out for himself first” from both wingnuts and moonbats.
