the frame is way more serious than just âself-pardonâ â because it becomes self negating
can he pardon himself for participating in acts that illegally got him the office?
if he didnt win the office legitimately, whatâs the legitimacy of the pardon power?
Under the Constitution, once Congress has certified that he won a majority of the electors and his term begins, he is the President, with all the powers of the Presidency, until his term of office ends one way or another. I tried to explain this to birthers who thought everything Obama ever did in office could be negated if only they could prove he wasnât eligible.
