In fairness (and I hate even having to be fair with him), he is right. The president and vice-president are exempt from the Hatch Act.

Granted, there are other issues involved with the president using the White House for campaign events, but since the only real check on the president is impeachment - and REPUBLICANS IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE (except Mitt Romney) don’t give a fuck - there isn’t much to be done other than to vote the bastard out.
