Many of these nuts and their mindset has been around longer than some of us have been alive, but I don’t ever remember it getting the pay it gets right now.

Maybe the internet itself makes it so much easier to reach out from ones basement and touch so many more people?

Hey Walter— Yeah, I totally agree with you. I think some of it is the internet, and some of it is that the rhetoric has been creeping into the mainstream on the right for years. You have people like Coulter who has for years been making ‘jokes’ about killing liberals. You have elected representatives in the GOP during the Bush admin (and pundits, columnists, etc) suggesting that dems, anti-war protestors, and the left were traitors, committing treason, etc. Now we’re seeing the crazy in full flower and it scares the shit out of me.
