Kennedy was submitted to the court in November of ‘87 to be fair after Reagan’s first was rejected and the second withdrew but as you got at it is a rare event. And LBJ actually did nominate two in 1968. FDR in 1940 also. No Republicans have but none of the Republicans have had a vacancy come up like this either and I think if they had, it’s fair to assume they would have too because that’s the President’s fucking job. I really am so sick of the GOP’s obstructionist bullshit. God just admit that you don’t want him to do his job because you don’t respect him. It would be honest at least.

It doesn’t just boil down to the GOP disrespecting the President, it’s full-on, bone-deep hate because he’s too uppity for them.
