I hear you.

This election is like driving past a horrible car wreck. You can’t help but look, and then are sorry you did, with images of horror haunting your subconscious.

On one hand, I feel compelled to stay educated and aware of what’s going on with the country and on the other hand I find myself tortured by the inhumanity, hate and bigotry displayed by fellow citizens. The desire to retreat into my house and not come out gets powerful at times.

Then I think about all the people out there who need help and realize that retreat isn’t an option. So fuck it, I’ll deal with the pain and keep trying to make a difference. But it does get damn frustrating.
