It’s appropriate that, just days before Christmas, we have the SecTreasury setting up an It’s A Wonderful Life-style run on the banks.

I took a nap, put up that Seinfeld clip and then wondered WTF you were talking about. WTF???? Who the hell calls the heads of the six biggest banks in the US on the Sunday before Christmas to talk about liquidity AND THEN PUBLICLY DISCUSSES IT??

WHO?

The idiots in this administration, that’s who!

There were lots and lots of those discussions in September and October 2008 in the financial markets meltdown, but they weren’t made public. And given that lending was frozen nearly solid, they were justified. However, this is just seriously irresponsible.

I personally don’t think that we’re anywhere near where we were in fall 2008 but with idiots like Mnuchin sounding off, we could be pushed into something very stupid and very harmful very quickly. The guy needs a figurative knee in the nuts to shut him up.

ETA: The crazy thought occurred to me that Trump wants an economic disaster.
