Rep. Ocasio-Cortez: We’ve (AOC and Sanders) been in active conversation. I’ve been speaking with him and several other of the 2020 candidates, and I think that they have really understood and respected the fact that I think that I want to wait until we get a little bit closer. I think we need to have a conversation as a party, and I think that endorsing very earlier in this race prevents us from having that kind of conversation. People will say, ‘Oh, she’s just supporting so-and-so, that’s why she’s saying that.’ And I think it’s, you know, we have to have real conversations about income inequality, about criminal justice, about immigration, about the environment.
