Originalism is such a sham philosophy.

I think there’s a place for originalism, as a starting point, to understand the intent of the provision, but it can’t be the entire analysis. Especially when you get into the competing views of how to apply originalism and whether you can/should consider only the four corners of the document or look to outside sources.
