Greets and saluts. It’s sickening watching all this go down. These are people who ought to know better but don’t care. They’d rather go off a cliff in a rage than realize that it’s only politics. The Democrats are wrong in pushing this mess, even more so with their self imposed deadlines to act before the Christmas break so that they don’t have to hear from their constituents about why they’re pushing this stuff; they’d rather hear why they passed the bill - it is better to have it a done deal than to try and defend this mess.

The numbers still don’t add up, even with the latest CBO figures, since they still don’t reflect the cost of care after 10 years and after the revenue reserves are eaten up as the plan gets phased in over time. Tax hikes are inevitable and more hikes are on they way courtesy of this plan, as well as through the expiration of the Bush era tax cuts (2001 and 2003 tax cuts). That includes the zombie resurrection of the estate tax in 2011, which generates billions in revenues.

But, for now, most people particularly in the NE US are more concerned about the major snowfall underway in the Middle Atlantic and heading up towards the Northeast. 1+ foot of snow expected in most areas, so if you’re out and about, stay safe, drive carefully, and if you’re a SUV driver, it doesn’t mean that you can violate the laws of physics. You can still slip and slide right off the road.
