I’ve dealt with plenty of magicians. You definitely don’t reveal magician’s secrets. But magicians also don’t need a mark on the ace of spades.

And the back of Bicycle cards are relatively simple graphic objects. It’s pretty easy to compare them in extreme detail. Many people have. What’s more, they are symmetric across two axes, meaning that a mark detail would either be more noticeable because it was reproduced four times, or more noticeable because it was different from the other three locations on the card. Or it’d be on the central figure, where it’d be super-noticeable.

I think Walter may be trying to start an urban myth or something.
