Booth wasn’t assassinated. He was killed in shady circumstances, but it wasn’t an assassination. People who refer to his assassination are normally South Shall Rise Again types.

He was given a chance to surrender, refused, they set the barn he was in on fire, and then one guy shot him. He shouldn’t have shot him, it was against orders, but Booth wasn’t ‘assassinated’.
